Enviroment Agency - work for what you wish for

The Environment Agency is the place where your civil engineering skills together with your determination and ambition, come together to tackle head on the challenge of climate change. We're continuously planning how to protect 5 million people, 2.2 million homes and 185,000 businesses currently at risk from flooding – one of the most complex and exciting engineering challenges of modern times. As well as maintaining the 36,000 kilometres of defences that line our rivers and coastlines, it's imperative that we continue to plan, develop and test new, ever-more innovative defences and improve our 24-hour flood forecasting and warning service even further. As water levels continue to rise, the numbers of those at risk will too. This is why we need talented engineers to help us to manage flood risk.

By joining our graduate structured engineering training programme or applying for sponsorship, you can help us tackle this challenge. So, as you consider your future as an engineer it's worth remembering that we carry out some of the largest, most complex, and not to mention unique projects the civil engineering world has to offer. And while you're working on these exciting projects you're also helping to protect millions of businesses and homes.

This graduate campaign is currently closed. The programme for 2008 - 2009 will be launched in September 2008.
